We live in a city vibrant with individuals dedicated to creating a socially just and holistically sustainable community. Yet, we remain largely segregated on racial/ethnic, cultural, and economic levels. How can we create an integrated community in which our diversity serves to make us more resilient, wiser, and at peace?

5:30-7:30PM: Join us for training about building bridges among diverse communities through the arts of storytelling, dialogue, and ceremony. Participate in the dialogue about creating cultural integration in our town. This is your opportunity to work with initiates of ancient healing traditions and elders in our local community. 8:00PM: Lighting the Bridges ceremony led by Village Elders- Askari and Ayanna. Please arrive at 7:30. We will start this ceremony at 8:00pm sharp. This is a ceremony and a ritual theater performance. Now is the time to support our youth and bring ritual back into all of our lives.

8:30PM-10:30PM: Youth Rites of Passage ceremony and DiVerseCity Discourse: Youth Open Mic-Performers from FUEGO!, Higher Stages Youth Arts Academy, NW Service Academy. Calling all youth! this is your chance to share the stage with top artists!

TICKETS: Tickets are $10-$30. This is a benefit for FUEGO!- do your best. Tickets for youth to participate in the Open Mic are Free-$5. You must be there by 8pm to sign up for the Open Mic. Tickets for Workshop are $25-$100. Please pre-register for workshop.
